French group to build new production plant

French animal nutrition group Glon will invest €13 million (US$18.8 million) to construct a new plant that will produce medicated products for pets.

The new plant will be located at the site of its animal health subsidiary Sogeval in Louverne, France, which expects to grow revenues in the European pet market by 30% in 2010.

The plant will cover 3,500 square meters in an extension of an existing factory, allowing two totally independent production lines to make tablet medication for dogs and cats.
